Three routes to Uhuru Peak
Clerisa runs the Marangu, Machame and Lemosho routes. They differ in length, in how gradually they let you acclimatise, and in where you sleep.
What every route has in common
- All three start and finish in Moshi, at the foot of the mountain.
- All three summit at Uhuru Peak, 5,895 m, the highest point in Africa.
- Minimum age 12, groups of up to 12 trekkers.
- Guided throughout by Clerisa mountain crew.
The longer routes are not harder. They are usually easier, because more days means more time to acclimatise, and that is the single biggest factor in whether people reach the summit comfortably.
